Japan is an group of 6,852 islands.The four largest islands are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku, together accounting for ninety-seven percent of Japan's land area. Japan has the world's tenth largestpopulation, with over 127 million people. The Greater Tokyo Area, which includes the de facto capital city of Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the largest metropolitan area in the world, with over 30 million residents.
An earthquake and tsunami hit the Tohoku region of Northern Japan on Friday. More than 4,000 have died and more than 8,000 are missing. Because of this people from all over the world are now helping japan fun-raisers, offerings, aect...any type of help that people are willing to give is a blessing to japan.
